Sponsor Me

Over the years, MCFR has become home for many of the rescued cats and kittens.  Most of the cats on this page will never be adopted into a new family or home.

Some have experienced the trauma of surviving in the wild after being abandoned and left to starve.  Some have gotten out on their own and gone wandering, only to become confused and lost.  Many were born feral in the wild.  Some have been abused and tortured.

These are the MCFR home cats, being cared for by our organization on a permanent basis.  If you, your business, or your company would like to help out by donating to the care of one of these cats on a sponsorship basis, please contact us.

We are a Registered Charity.

Ringo - Ringo is about 7 years old and a neutered male. He’s a beautiful long hair, black and white, and has had his shots.  Rescued in Manotick living under a deck.
Ringo came to MCFR with serious health problems but over time has completely recovered.
TC - TC is a 3 year old neutered male. He’s a beautiful dark tabby.

TC is practically unapproachable.  He will occasionally let you look at him or get a picture of him.  He is a very nervous cat.

Puss 'n Boots - Puss ‘n’ Boots is a 3 year old spayed female. She’s a black and white short hair.

Under MCFR care, Puss ‘n’ Boots is gradually becoming less nervous but definitely needs lots of love and patience. She still has a terrible fear of brisk movement or noise.

Socks - Socks is a 2 year old male.  Socks would need a tremendous amount of patience and tender loving care.  Currently, his distrust of people is so great, he is unapproachable. But within the MCFR community, he is so gentle and affectionate in his love of the other MCFR cats.

Mittens - Mittens is a 2 1/2 year old neutered male. He is a black and white short hair.

Mittens needs patience and love. The only time his care giver can pet him or even approach him is feeding time. His love of food seems to outweigh his nervousness, but only until he's had enough to eat, then he takes off again.

Abbey - Abbey is just over 2 years old.  She was rescued and then delivered to one of our foster homes. She has serious trust issues with people, but she gets along well with the other cats in her foster home.

Brandy - Brandy is close to 3 years old and a spayed female. She's the one on the right.

Riley - Riley is nearly 3 years old and a neutered male. He’s a beautiful long haired dark tabby, and has had his shots.  He's the one peeking out.

Lucky - Lucky is an 11 month old neutered male. He's a short-haired light tabby.

Lucky can tend to be very nervous sometimes in new environments and with strangers.

Lucky had to have special surgery as a kitten and is now fully recovered.

Snowy Owl, only with MCFR a year, has not trusted anyone and it appears he will be with MCFR a long time.
